Table Deposits

You can send a request for Deposits (or full payments) both before or after a table arrives.

On your mobile app: find the reservation/table and tap the 💲 icon to get started. 


On your desktop view: find the reservation/table and click on the 3 dots in the lower right corner of the pending reservation, then select Request Payment


The app will display the contact info of the customer (name, email, SMS number) and give you the option set a Deposit amount.

  • Custom/Percentage of Min
    • If your table/section has a minimum spend on it (click here to learn how to set minimums), you can ask for a percentage of that minimum as a deposit or set a Custom amount instead (if no minimum was set previously).
  • Hours To Pay
    • Enter how many hours you want to give your clients to process the payment of the requested amount.

Once this is filled out, hit  Request and a deposit request will be sent to the client via text and/or email.

Tap Request Payment to send the client a message (via email/SMS) with the deposit information.

A new drop-down with the requested deposit info will now appear under that reservation, containing the status of the deposit and a countdown with the remaining time left to pay before that request expires.

Tap on three dots if you wish to Cancel that request.

The status of that Request will automatically change once the client has processed the deposit on their side.


Webform Deposits

Deposits can be taken online and as a requirement to book a table. With this enabled, guests will pick their table, pay the required amount, and have that table automatically approved and assigned to their reservation.

To enable this feature, open the browser app and go to Settings > Venue Information > Additional Settings. Enable "Allow Webform Deposits" and set either a flat fee or a percentage that they will have to pay (the percentage will be based on the table minimum).

Note: Only tables that have a minimum will trigger this requirement. If a table does not have a minimum spend, it can be requested, but not paid for (the reservation will come through as "Pending" and a deposit would then have to be requested manually).
